More on my rant about the master, its just that , they regenerated YANA into a young and energetic person to make him mirror Tennant more, the new master is nothing like the old master, I would have liked to see 10’s confrontation with a classical style master, I think it would be much more unique story telling That’s not to say I don’t love the new Master, I think he’s one of the best characters on the show. I would have given YANA at least a full episode of being the master before regenerating into Simms. Derek Jacobi did an awesome job of being faithful to the classic Master (he’s a very Shakespearean actor) in his five minutes before regenerating into Simms.
